True Tragedy

It would truly be a tragedy
Were you not here with me
In my blood
My nose
My ears
My skin
And views
If I did not move like you
Sit like you
Smile and laugh like you do
Did
Were you not interlaced in my memories
And dreams
If I could forget
How it felt to lay my head on your chest
And hear your heart beating
And feel your laughter contract your belly
A world that erased
Every trace of your years on it
That would be a true tragedy
But you will always be as long as there is a me
